Bruce Richardson was a supervising editor for approximately 30 years. Over his career he worked on 3 Oscar winner pictures for sound editing… “Back to the Future” “Roger Rabbit” and “The Hunt for Red October”, and won an Emmy on the acclaimed miniseries “Roots”. Over the past 40 years has written 6 screenplays, a few short stories and wrote and directed two 35mm short films. One of them, “AWOL”, was shot in Cambria Ca. in 1979 and aired on HBO in the 80’s. Â
He has also work on production with the director, Sam Peckinpah, and filmed a documentary about the making of his movie, “Cross of Iron”, and also worked as a stuntman. And now occasionally works as music editor with his wife, Lise’ Richardson. Â
Bruce Richardson has been a voting member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences since 1994. Â
